he's DJ Jones. one of the characters i made for my demo reel. i'm gon' make 3-4 rigs in all. i'm pretty proud of him. fastest rig i've ever done. he doesn't have blendshapes for his head yet though.

i passed all my classes!!! oh god, i am soooo relieved! i was stressing out like crazy. Janzen, my teacher for adv lighting class, whom i was sooo sure would fail me because i ran out of time texturing and lighting my other scene properly and rendering both scenes' videos in Final Gather (it basically makes shit look better since it realistically bounces light around. it also takes a looooong rendering time), actually gave me an A! i'm not sure if it was a mistake but whatever, i'll fuckin take it!!! HAAHAHAHAH!


*edit: decided to put up pics of my shizz from Adv Lighting class up even though i'm not exactly that proud of 'em. so yay! you actually get more art from me other than the Potato video below :P

Mmmm... you're the same smoggy monkey I've come to know and love and hate HAHAHAHAHA Anyway, since the ranchera blasting from my neighbors aren't going to stop anytime soon, I think I'm going to be awake for a while. By the way, I noticed that all the shows that were on the Discovery Channel, Nat. Geographic channel and the History channel were, oddly, a bit of a downer. It was freakin New Year's Eve and they all had shows about the armageddon, vampires, ghosts, satanism and the like. I thought that was a bit too dark for such a, supposedly, joyous day. I don't remember them doing that last year. Could it be a hint of our future? Hmmm...

That's all I think. Well, I can't really think right now especially since I can fuckin feel the bass of the music from next door bumping in my chest. I'm off to go have some more tea so, much joy to all of ya this year and take great care of each other.

T'is sad...

10secondclub.net, a site where animators used to compete to have the best animation for the 10 second sound clip that was provided by the site in a monthly basis, had apparently shut down forever. I've been wondering why their site's been down for a while now so I finally did a little snooping and found that out. T'is pretty sad really. That site was really helpful. I think there's a bit of hope though. There's some talk that strutyourreel.com will be picking up where the 10secondclub left off. I hope that goes through.

I shall leave ya now with my cartoon version of Dana DeArmond with some flats. Worrrd...
